Signs That They Are Not The Right Detox Center To Help Your Loved One
Some are having a hard time deciding on whether or not to bring their loved one in a drug and alcohol rehab. They think that if they do this, their loved ones will hate them and never come back to them again.
If they completely lose their control because of addiction, may it be in alcohol or drugs, you have to attend to them immediately. It is true that letting go of them is painful, and it is also true that they might hate you for bringing them to a facility, but, if this is the only way they can bounce back and regain everything they have lost because of their addiction, there is no reason not to do it.
As their consolation, it is your responsibility to make sure that the facility where you will bring them to can really help them get better and let them realize how beautiful life is without being addicted to whatever substance it is they are currently hooked at.
There are many centers out there, but just so you know, not all of them can provide your loved one the detoxification they need to really get better.
To help you find the right center to bring your loved one to, here are a few signals you must watch out for:
Giving promises that are absurd
A center should not give any promises, especially promises they cannot ensure they cannot provide. Different individuals have their own healing process and time, the center cannot commit to a specific timetable as no conditions are alike. If they promise you that they can help your loved one to get sober in as fast as one week, do not trust them, as the process won’t surely be that fast and easy.
Bad reviews
If the center has so many bad reviews, there is no reason to trust them. Actually, when basing your decisions on reviews, you have to make sure that the reviews you are reading are based on facts only. You would not want to end up believing reviews that were made just to advertise or market a rehab center.
Needless to say, when the center has so many bad reviews, you have to think twice of bringing your loved one to their facility.
Customer service is unresponsive
If they claim that they have customer service, but it is always unresponsive, think twice about their interest in helping their patients and being there when needed.
The faster they pick up calls, and attend to customers’ concerns, the more reliable they can be.
Not licensed and accredited
Choose a clinic that is accredited and licensed to operate. You would not want to leave your loved one to a facility that was never accredited and allowed to operate. Their life and future is at stake, hence making sure about the center’s accreditation is a must.
Does not allow site visits
If the clinic does not allow site visits, take them out of your options immediately as there is no reason not to allow it unless they are hiding something.
